The incredible amount of environment work drew me to Godzilla. I spent 4 months working with the team at Moving Picture Company creating many destructive landscapes for the film. My focus was on the EMP sequence, retrieving the bomb sequence, the end battle sequence and the after math. I created over 30 matte paintings for the film, only a couple are shown here, but they represent the variety of work I did. All paintings were created in Photoshop, and projected in Nuke, with different passes rendered out and handed to comp.
