For Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, I was tasked with developing concepts for the film's logo reveal, exploring how the iconic skull-and-crossbones emblem could emerge naturally from the world of the story.

One direction began inside a secluded cove containing a pirate ship. As the camera slowly pulled away, the audience would discover that the cove itself was nestled within the eye socket of the franchise's famous skull insignia. The challenge was designing the rocky landscape so that it felt believable as a real location while gradually revealing its larger form as part of the logo.

A second direction explored the relationship between treasure and the sea. These concepts imagined shimmering gold beneath the surface of the ocean, illuminated by reflections of firelight and moving water. As the camera approached, the abstract patterns of light and metal would gradually resolve into the Pirates of the Caribbean emblem.

Both approaches explored the same creative challenge: transforming a familiar logo into a cinematic moment that felt rooted in the mythology and visual language of the franchise.
