For the opening title sequence of Mindhunter, I worked directly with the team at Blur and director David Fincher to create a series of crime scene paintings that appear as subliminal flashes throughout the sequence, many of them visible for less than a second.

What made the project memorable was Fincher's relentless attention to detail. Despite their brief appearance on screen, every image was treated with the same level of scrutiny as a hero shot. The paintings were created at 8K resolution and went through extensive rounds of refinement to ensure every detail felt authentic.

To create the imagery, I found myself researching subjects I never expected to study as an artist: wound trauma, decomposition, blood pooling, and forensic photography. The goal was not to create gore for its own sake, but to create images that felt disturbingly real, hinting at the darkness lurking beneath the surface of the series.

The final paintings appear only as fleeting glimpses throughout the title sequence, but they remain some of the most meticulously crafted images I've ever created.
