I worked as a matte painter on the live-action trailer for Destiny, collaborating directly with director Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy, Top Gun: Maverick, and F1).
My primary responsibility was translating the world of Venus from the game into a believable live-action environment. Bungie's original designs combined lush landscapes with massive floating structures, advanced technology, and glowing blue volcanic eruptions, creating one of the franchise's most iconic locations.
Working from the game's visual language, I created a series of matte paintings that brought these elements together into a cinematic setting while preserving the sense of wonder and scale that made the original world so memorable. The result helped bridge the gap between game and film, allowing players to experience the universe of Destiny through a live-action lens.
