This was my second project with the incredible team at Blur. I was briefed with creating a dragon castle high above the clouds. I started with a concept stage, doing several iterations of color, mood and style. After, I started on designing an interpretation of the castle, based on some of the game designs, and taking some liberties. The matte painting was completed in 3 weeks, and a layered psd was delivered back, with cloud and mountain layers separated out to allow for comp to add rolling clouds and motion through out.
